ok, i am just gonna throw this out here...i may get in trouble, i may not...i mean no harm though, just so ya know..
I am sitll pretty new here and have already noticed what this site has to offer. If you look on the main page, you will see a little donation meter for hosting....ok, see it? now do we see the problem? the only donation there is $2 and its the one I made.
Now from what I see, there is a fair bit of people getting some really good use out of this site..granted, a thank you is always nice, but just like volunteer work, it doesnt pay the bills.
I am ranting so you say?..ya..ok..maybe a bit...it bothers me a bit to see people getting things for nothing, when i simple donation of 1-5 bux accross the board could really help support this site and keep it up and running for us all..we all like coming here correct?
ok..so what do i suggest you ask (or may not ask) well.....I have 1000 mambo and joomla tempates..not the nasty cookie cutter ones but nice looking templates. It took me 11 hours to get them all downloaded, then another 5 hours just to try to clean up the files once they were unzipped to my system. I tried categorizing them, but it became pointless so they are in alphabetical folders....anyhow....back to topic...
i would like to know if any of you fine folk out there who use this site to help you save time in your work would like to give back and get the 1000 templates. My suggestion is purchasing the 1000 templates for $2 with 50% of every purchase going towards the donation meter on this site...which you can watch yourself to make sure the donations are being applied. I am out here for all to see so i have nothing to hide.
If $2 is too much for you, then..well...you know...perhaps we can drop to $1 but what kind of turn around is that after paypal fees?
any thoughts on this is much appreciated, the poor admin is running his ass off, so lets alteast cover some hosting and a truck full of beer for him
the other 50% will go towards covering the cost to keep the zips on my server until we have all gladly given our 2cents...ok...2bux
