How to get into blogging?

I love to write, and recently I have been reading a friends blog. It seems like fun, but I have no idea how to get into it. What are the most popular blog websites, and does yahoo have this option. Also, how do you get fans or readers to view your blog. Help would be greatly appreciated!

there is a cool blog site that is blogspot.com you can make your own blogspot using your email. There is a lot of choises. It is cool though because it's like having your own website. you choose your own name for the site and you just add ".blogspot.com" to the end.

Blogger is one of the more popular ones. It's easy to use and it's free. In order to get people to read it, you can tell some of your friends to check it out. You have to start somewhere. Or, you could "affiliate" with other blogs that are similar or blogs that you like.

I think other users have listed all the blogging sites. My favorite one is sweetcircles.com. Reason is1. Easy to use2. New features added regularly3. More ready made templates. Templates are cool and they have many varieties added regularly4. User can create their own template5. Social networking feature is enabled. So blogger / users can network with other bloggers and users6. Multi language
