importing a database error?

I exported a ipb 2.1.7 database and now im trying to import it in another epmty database on another host where ive installed ipb 2.1.7 (i intalled it and deleted the tables). While importing i got an error msg:ErrorSQL query: /*!40103 SET TIME_ZONE=@OLD_TIME_ZONE */;MySQL said: #1100 - Table 'time_zone_name' was not locked with LOCK TABLESOnly 40 out of around a 100 tables were imported. I tried importing the tables one by one, but i got the same error msg when i tried to import the forum comments table...Im not very fimiliar with importing databases, and i have only basic skills... I know theres another way using SSH, but it looks kinda complicated, so i havent tried yet. Any suggestions? Leave ur email if u think i didnt give enough info or somethin, thanks a lot in advance!!

hmm it seems you should LOCK the tablesGo to your old host phpmyadmin or your mysql software there and go down to "SELECT TABLES" and select all tablesand LOCK tables once it has been lockedthen go to export on top bar and export it; it should work if not then try this time with ALL TABLES UNLOCKEDalso try optimize via phpmyadmin it may fix some errors
