What is AdSense?

Is AdSense only for Youtube? Does it cost anything to join because i read somewhere its free but when i was reading the join application thing it said my payment will arrive to my address or something?Wait.... i dont know if adsense is what i want. I noticed on some YouTube videos the video box is different than the others, Theres an ad on the right side and sometime during the video a little ad pops up on the bottom of the screen. And you get to choose if you want the video to be in high quality.Thats the thing I want. Is that AdSense or something else?

Have you seen those little advertisements on websites where you can click and go to another page? And there is small writing saying "adds by google"....That is AdSense add.Now, if you have your own website or blog you can go to AdSense site where you already were, and you can sign for free and allow google to put adds to your site. When someone else (but not you- be careful here) clicks on any of those adds, you earn some money. And if your site is really popular and lots of peoples visit and click on those adds, you can make money.And Google is going to send you a check. That's why they are asking about your address.And other thing you are asking about, thing where you can choose quality of the video...that's the video feature, and someone else my better advise you.
