Starting a blog. Traffic? Adsense?

I plan on starting a blog I think I have a few ways to make money off of if, my current plan is to write on my subject and then have ads about articles i write about affiliates, and then hopefully they decide to buy from my affiliates, I have read a lot on affiliate, do they really work?. Another thought I had was to lead the readers to sales i was trying to make on ebay, but I'm not aware of any other opportunitiesthere make money I haven't read to much into adsense how well does that work? What more can i do to boost revenue?

the most earning site is of loans....example...thishttp://www.loanssearchcentre.blogspot.comby clicks on this site it gives $1 per click......so make a site based on loans ,, jobs ,,or mortagage...or something related to money good luck.....................
