Okay, so I typed up a definition for my school on Urban Dictionary. The other day it was on the front page, like 7th, but now it's down to the bottom of the second page. I was wondering how I could possibly move it up -- aiming to get it above or 2nd to the school's actual website. Is there any method/techniques to doing this? What exactly makes a website move up in the Google ranks?

There are lots of things that can be done, one of the more important ones is how your site is structured and linked togeather e.g.
page could be called school.html <-- this can be changed to name-of-school.html were the name of the school is added with -, also, think about the most obvious keywords that a person would type in to view the site. Another idea is to add the keywords to the Title tags Hope this helps |
