IT SHOULD! It is a very high end graphics card. Just to check you should refer to system req on the Sims box.

the sims 2 is mostly CPU and RAM Heavy you could spend $70 on a video card that will run the sims 2 on MAX settings.

I was also going to buy that card before I saw " MSI NX8800GT 512M OC GeForce 8800GT". It is the second best selling 8800gt on newegg. With a much better fan, which pushes air OUT of your pc, and it is also factory OCed to 660/1900 (vs 600/1800 standard). With the stock fan on the evga 8800gt, I doubt if you can OC that high if your computer doesn't cool very well.Oh..BTW, do you know that 9800gt is coming out in a month? The new 9800gtx only costs under $300, I wonder how much would the new gt cost.Just wait till the 9800gt comes out. Buy the new one if it costs around $200, or just buy 8800gt, which will drop another 20-30 dollars.

I have this card and I can even run things like Crysis and COD4, so yes, that could run almost any game on the market at the moment. If your looking for something just to run sims 2 and want to save a bit of money, get something from the Nvidia GeForce 7000 range
