Default Do i have to install the driver before putting in my new graphics card?

I am going to install a new graphics cards, but i need to no, do i plug it in first and then install the drivers or will it find its own drivers as it is vista,orshould i install driver first then put in the graphics card?

You'll find that you probably won't be able to install a driver before installing your graphics card. As the driver will not detect that type of card in your system, and will refuse to install. Just put the card in, then install your driver afterwards.Make sure your pc is unplugged first (not just powered off!), touch the metal of the case before touching the card (to discharge any static charge you might have). Also be careful putting in the card.Windows Vista will install it's own generic driver for the card, but just go to your graphics cards website afterward and download an updated driver.

first put the card than install drivers but if u do it in another way should be ok as well.

no put the card in firstthen on boot up windows will say found new hardwareif you have a CD please insert it know then click next

Actually my method is throw in the card first the PC will ask u to search for the driver just direct it to the location

No... Install the graphics card first.Sometimes (or maybe always?) the driver will say "no device connected" or "no device detected" when you install the driver first.
