While Adobe Photoshop is the industry standard for editing images it is by far one of the most difficult programs to learn and master. If you are looking for a program that is easy to learn I would look at Adobe/Macromedia Fireworks or PaintShop Pro as they are far easier to learn and can produce professional results while your learning and saving.GIMP is a good free alternative to Photoshop but again the complexity of the program and options is above what most can easily understand.Depending on the presentation though you may want to use Microsoft powerpoint for the actual presentation and just a higher end graphics program for the images themselves.

you need a few, actually. basically you'll be able to get by with photoshop and dreamweaver. If you're doing one project you can get away with wordpress or somehting, but it'll be worth your while to learn the industry standard, as you can make amazing stuff with them, even if you just know the basics
