could anybody tell me if i could download anything to give my graphic card a boost? or possibly download a whole new graphics card? nothing with pay please. i have a 2000 XP

Download a graphics card? Sorry you would be out of your depth installing a new card and getting drivers.

Try to download new drivers for it, or buy a new one altogether. You wont really get more quality graphics unless you buy a new one

You can't download a new graphics card. If there are no updates, you should just buy a new one (thats really the only option I can think of)
