Default Should I still get a graphics card?

My desktop computer sometimes shows nothing on the screen when I start up and I have to do a hard reboot. Then it shows something the second time I boot up.I want to get a Radeon HD2400 Pro but the place I'm buying it from has no returns; only exchanges. Should I take the risk and get the 2400 or stay with my lousy 128mb good-for-nothing crap graphics card?I know the card is compatible with my PC; both the mobo and gc is PCI-Ex1

Let me put it this way- If the place your buying from doesnt accept returns, you need to find some new places to shop.

Well, it all depends on what you want to use the graphics card for. You should also check out websites that sell good products online. I suggest Newegg.com or tigerdirect.com.The 2400 HD is good for casual use, not for hard cord gaming. I would get the product. Don't stick with your 128MB GC.

Your trouble may not be in your graphics card. Does your hard drive boot up when you get nothing on the screen? Before you go buying a random graphics card, make sure it's compatible with your motherboard and be sure that 128mb card isn't actually onboard graphics. If it is, you can't add a graphics card without a new motherboard.

If it was me, I would research your problem a little more. I have had a similar problem that I thought was the Vid. card. Turned out, it was an overheating issue. If I was looking at getting a new anything for my computer, I would not go to an exchange place. Had a few friend do that and get lucky, few others that got junk and wasted their money. Have you checked newegg.com?

The HD2400 is a horrible waste of cash. Get the 9600GSO 1GB for the same cash, and be able to play video games.
