with a 512 mb graphics card and an HD monitor, id say the console would look better. With dual Nvidia 5800 quadro fx, the pc will blow the consoles away. It really varies with the graphics card, but generally id say consoles look better.heres a test done by gamespothttp://www.gamespot.com/features/6202552/index.html

Well, lets take the game: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. I have played this on Xbox360, I have played on Wii, and on the PC. The PC version of this game lags when playing Online, while Wii and Xbox360 run smoothly. On the Wii, during online play, you cannot blow off peoples arms like you can Xbox360. The PC you can also blow peoples arms off. There is much more blood and gore. But, why are you playing this on PC while you can be playing it on Xbox360?

That's debatable and not really easy to answer. Back in the early days of PC gaming, PC's did seem to have an edge over the consoles when it came to graphics being more like that of an arcade port or most other games but, since the 32-bit consoles showed up that has greatly begun to change and one could say that it partially started as early as the 16-bit consoles when arcade quality ports where the goal of the home gaming industry.Today PC and console game graphics range anywhere from one looking a little better than the other to both ports being almost dead even.
