I would call people to see if they are coming. An easier way next time is to put on the invite regrets only that way if they don't call they are coming.

I would ask the guest of honor if she has heard from anyone. But, don't tell her their is only 1 guest coming. Then I would probably spend my Sunday afternoon making a couple calls. People are horrible at RSVPing. I had a party for my daughter's birthday. Sent out 25 invites...8 rsvps....4 more the morning of and ended up with19.

You should call the people and just see if they are coming...lots of times people forget, or just dont really understand the concept of RSVPing *annoying*
