Default Am I supposed to get a gift for the host of my baby shower?

And if so, is that just for the person who has it at her house or everyone who helped plan it?Also, ideas for gifts?

you don't have to, but it might be nice to put together a little gift bag for them with like stuff from bath and body works in it and like a giftcard to somewhere in it or something like that

Send them all Thank You cards right away with a personal message for each. If you were to take flowers to the hostess the other party planners wold fill left out.

I'm sure it is not required, but it would be a nice "thank you" gesture. And if I were you I would just get the host one. If it another woman you can never go wrong with something that smells pleasant like candles, incense, etc. Hope this helped! =)

i think that it would be a nice thing to do. i would get everyone who helped with the cooking, decorations, etc a thank you card along with a gift card ($10). for the host, i would get her a small personal gift, like something from Bath and Body Works or Victoria Secret. if you feel that the others will get jealous. give the host her gift the following day.

I personally would not, my friends aren't expecting a gift in return. They would plan something like that to bless me..not themselves. A heartfelt thank you and maybe a note and a picture from the day would be nice. Even the picture is not necessary. I wouldn't worry too much. People these days seem to only do something for you to get something in return..that's not how I was raised anyways =)I would keep it for just the hostess too...she had to clean her house for it..LOL

It is not a requirement but, yes, I would do a little something for them. You could just take them out to lunch the following weekend, if you wanted (one last Hurrah before baby comes?).You could also do little gift certificates or have some flowers delivered to their homes after the shower.
