Register a free site at geocities.com and upload your code. If it's just basic HTML, it shouldn't have any compatibility problems.

Well if you have the codes in a .txt file you can simply rename the file to .html and it will open with your internet browser.

When previewing web pages prior to publication, it is necessary to see how the behave in different types of browser. Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7, Mozilla or Firefox, and Opera are good representations for the four different interpretations ofr the HTML standard. For most mark-up there are no differences, but as you begin to research advanced techniques such as fixed panels and dropdown menus, understanding the key differences in the four mainstream interpretations will help you engineer a consistent behaviour into your markup. These five browsers were free the last time I checked. If you are using centralised layout (CSS="Cascading Style Sheet") or centralised content insertion (SSI="Server Side Include") it may be necessary to preview your code online - in which case you need a package capable of uploading your pages to the server where you can view them live in different browsers. Frontpage is very pricey and now very difficult to get, although ExpressionWeb may have taken over for FrontPage. Also good for testing your mark up are the validators at the World Wide Web Consortium.Good Luck...
