My computer keeps changing all the words I type into html symbols?

What do I do?I just noticed it when i was on myspace,And I thought it was just because myspace had a glitchBut them my computer started changing all the letters/numbers/spaces/punctuations into html symbols or phrasesHow do I make it stop?I mean in the address bar, where I put website names.
