O.K. I want to create a simple html page in notepad but it wont let me

just name it simple.html then open it with IE

double click my computergo to tools > options > folder options > view > uncheck hide extensions for known file typesthen change the extension manually

use save astype "filename.html" with the quotesyou can also save as text file and then right click and rename as .html if you can see the extension (otherwise use tools > options > folder options > view > uncheck hide extensions feom any windows explorer page)
