How would I go about learning photoshop/css/xhtml? Where should I start?

I want to learn how to build a website with nice graphics and design how would I go about doing this and where should I start? I basically have 6 months to work on this completely. I recently thought of an idea and starting messing around with photoshop and got addicted I want to build a nice website for my project but photoshop is really complicated and frustrating I can't seem to make the logo I want. I can't take any classes I'm basically stuck at home for the next 6 months(broke some bones). Is there any must read material or a book that many people have started with? Oh, and should I learn HTML before photoshop or can I interchange them? Keep in mind I have 6 months and I really mean every single day committed to learning both of these skills. w3schools has online courses on CSS and XHTML, all of which are free. You really don't need to know HTML to learn photoshop, HTML is primarily used for webpages.
