You cannot download Microsoft Word for free. Try using Notepad or Wordpad - not as many formatting features, but good simple programs. Go to Start/All Programs/Accessories and one or the other will be there.

microsoft word is not a free software. if you only need it for a short period of time, microsoft office 2007 gives free 3 month trials of their products. Otherwise, a full "office" suite of programs is available on openoffice.org completely free. Look for open office writer

You would be better off buying microsoft office 2008 as word is out of date now a bit like windows 3.1 3.11 they are well out of date now.

microsoft word normally comes with your pc as standard on a disc.if not just go to www.microsoft.com and you should be able to get it off there.some you have to pay for like microsoft office but i dont think you pay for word.i am subscribed to e mails from www.download.com (best download site on the web) and they said something about a free office application which is an alternative to microsoft office but is free. so maybe try that too.hope this helpsTracey xxx
