MIcrosoft , why you ask? well from my own experience , having a mac book pro , i say it sucks!!! you can't run s-h-i-t on it!! like aim for it, sucks! yahoo messenger, it sucks!! you can't have chat rooms, audibles, pc to pc calling , text messaging nothing!! then some websites don't even work on a mac!! and for some that do like myspace for example, the layouts are all fu-c-k-e-d up!!!! like for example your friends myspace layout won't display how it's suppose to , then other websites will be like "we do not support your current operating system " it's a pain in the -a-s-s-!!! hardly any f-u-c-k-e-n programs are available on a mac , like windows media player or real player, yeah there avalible, but they suck!!! you can only us them to hear music or watch a video, and that's it! you can't use them to organize your music , make playlists, sync etc... nothing, only crappy itunes works!!! so i'm saying to you, i am going to protect you, go for a toshiba like or a sony vaio

Forget the whole Apple Vs Microsoft ... although I'm a Microsoft (PC) user and believe PCs are more versatile in many areas than Macs, Macs have quality hardware. The cons for a Mac is: It's pricey, and there are many games you won't be able to play on the platform, and there aren't a variety in colors to choose from (like other brands) The cons for a PC is: the cheap laptops/desktop PCs might just be that, low-end hardware so-to-speak. and compatibility issues. What you need to think about is not so much the casing ... but the stuff inside.Whatever you decide to get, make sure you jot down how much RAM you want, how big the Hard Drive will be, your CPU type and speed, If you want a good graphics card ... if you want S-video, DVI etc .... then once you have a fair idea of what you want inside the casing, then you can easily decide on what brand you want.People get caught up in being loyal to a specific brand/company that they forget about everything else. I hope I've helped. If my answer has helped you, kindly rate it or select it as Best Answer.
