Yes, you can run Office XP on just about any machine. Keep in mind that Office XP was like Windows ME..... it was a mistake..... that's why Office 2003 came out about 5 months later....You can buy Office 2003 pretty cheap right now - even Office 2000 is better than XP. I teach MS Office - all the programs work the same..... The office XP has bugs - but as far as running on Vista - Just about all software is "backwards compatible" so I haven't heard of any real issues..... it's the software itself that's the problem.

Yes, you can run Office XP on a machine running the Vista operating system. It runs fine. I have been doing that for six months.I have not found an XP program that I can't run on Vista, though I assume some exist. If I have any problems when I install a program I just right-click on the executable, go to properties and set the compatibiity to "XP". I have only had to do that for a few programs; most run on Vista just fine without even doing that. Some of the other respondents may be thinking you are asking if you can run the XP operating system on a Vista machine. I don't believe that is your question.
