Nintendo Wii vs. Microsoft XBox 360?

I want a Nintendo Wii. I am definitely getting one however, my friends and everyone told me that the Wii is pretty cool the first month but it gets boring afterwards. Also, they told me that the Wii doesn't have that many games, the XBox 360's XBox Live is amazing, and: Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Gear's of War and Assassin's Creed are also amazing for the 360. I don't want to get tired of a brand new system after buying it, because that would be a waste of money. Is it true that the Wii get's boring? and Is the XBox really better, longer-interesting, and cooler with games?

Games like Halo 3 never get boring. I palyed Halo 2 and I never got tired of it.A friend of mine brought a Wii with him and we also had fun.It depends if you want to play addicting games on the 360 or play the Wii with people.

Personally, I'm a hardcore gamer so I got 360. But I had Wii for about a month. Since call of duty is coming on wii also, and games like super smash bros and galaxy for the wii (super smash bros not out yet)are also coming out, its extremely good for casual gamers. I'm not sure if there are alot of good titles coming out for 360 in the near future, but if you do play games alot and don't mind paying for paying online get a 360. If you love fun, friendly and refreshing gameplay get a wii.

wii now is really extremely expensive now. you might as well get a PS3 or 360

Wii is BY FAR the best. 360 is more of the same, controller and button pressing. The Wii, you are moving around and twisting and various motions. If you are obese, get a 360. The Halo series is fun but I have a 360, I got bored of halo 3 in 2 weeks. got all the achievments, that's all its worth. Halo 2, some nice multiplayer, got bored of it in 3 weeks. Halo 1, Has INTENSE campaign and it's an awesome game on its own. I still have fun playing it on the PC. Plus guitar hero 3 is available on both. And just a side note, Wii's are still backordered after over a year they've been out. That's how much the world wants them. So hold out for a Wii, don't get a 360 just because you want a system fast.

The Wii is really geard towards "party games" and a younger player. Yes, there are some new games coming out for the Wii, but over all it's more for kids. I have one, the only time I use it is for Wii sports when friends come over.The 360 on the other hand is more for the hard core gamer. Tons of games and more options for future growth. With LIVE you can get together with friends online and also download movies if you are in to that. The over all power of the 360 is what will make it last longer.

I would def get a Wii...my roomate has one. Its a blast, very addicting...ive had them all the PS, Xbox, GC, etc...The Wii is by far the best if you want to have fun and it makes you break a sweat.....Dont get me wrong all systems have their thing...but the Wii is just plain fun

if you like shooters and good graphics go with xbox360but if you like active sport games and nintendo characters (mario, wario, ect...) go with wii

Ok , well first of all game choices all all your opinion. I have met people who hate gears of war and vise versa. I have a wii and 360 and i am going to give you my perspective on both.360- The x-box 360 is the leader in its graphics and is know for its wonderful games and x-box live. X-box live is 50 dollars a month and you get to play with people all around. 360 has good games and game play but besides that microsoft just took everything and made it better instead of creating something totaly new its a pretty good system and worth its price.Wii- the wii was ment for everyone to play. It is not know for its graphics, but it IS know for its out standing new form of gameplay. (for example my tennis team came to my house for a party once and played wii tennis for 6 hours straight!) The wii has a new fun and inative way of playing games. Do not listen to people who say the motion senser is over active because its not its just right. Yes there are fewer games but the 360 has been out a year longer then the wii. The wii offers FREE internet and FREE playing across the world with wifi.Even though the games may be in shortage some of the games are also supurb such as Mario Galexy, Twilght princess, Resident evil 4, and the up coming well know Super Smash Bros Brawl.Really its your choice. You wont be regreting either system because the both amazing. My final verdict would be that microsoft took old school gaming an perfected it while nintendo recreated a new form of gaming and is inchs away from correcting it. It depends on what you injoy.(PS. some of the games you listed can be matched for wii games aswell. IGN.com said that call of duty 4 got a 9.4 while mario galexy got a 9.7)
