If its the companies system you cannot do a thing. Best you use a personal mail system via an ISP - like Yahoo Mail.

When you signed your contract to work, you would have probably accepted that your work email will be screened, and that it is to be used primarily for work purposes and not for personal use.It would be a good idea to check your contract before taking any further action.

he is the boss & has good reason to monitor your work email address. setting passwords will not help his password will overide yours. however if you have private accounts set up in outlook & you dont want him to read them delete the setup for them on outlook & access them at this web addresshttp://www.mail2web.com/

You can't really if that's what he wants. I'd start looking for another job - if your boss can spend the time checking all your e-mails then he clearly doesn't have much work to do which doesn't sound great for long term prospects.
