Default Could Yahoo and and Google take on Microsoft?

I hope they can. Although microsoft are good with what they have got, i dont think they will do anything worhwhile with Yahoo. They will most likey diver us all to using hotmail and msn messanger.I for one would prefer to have the choice and would not want to see Yahoo give up and sell out!BTW at what point did i say "take over"?What i actually said was take on, for thoss of you that dont know, microsoft are trying to buy yahoo! and google are rying to form a partnership to help yahoo!.

They could if they buy back enough stock then Microsoft would only be a minority shareholder. That would not be what they want.

Won't happen IMHO, for the same reason that Yahoo won't get bought out by Microsoft. Actually, I don't think the Feds will allow any such measure. Look at it this way: MS (#2) & Yahoo (#3) in a merger to take on Google (whose #1) won't happen since you are eliminating competition, which is anti-trust violation.

I hope so! I hate MSN with a bottomless pit passion, may they all go to h*lll. They can't even get my e-mail straight, let alone my Messenger. Retards. I don't want them coming on here and screw this place up, too. I like Google for a lot of reasons but I consider Yahoo my home online. It's like the idea of your worst enemy buying the house next door
