black berry perl ?..?

okay so i just got a new blck berry and when i go to send texts and everything it doesnt let meh text normal ill type in 1 letter and it will like come up in workds does anybody kno if i can change the way it types to like just single letters and if u are good with black berrys but dont get what im saying pllz write meh **** thank you

When you are composing your text message press the menu (the key with the dots to the left of the trackball) and select enable multi tap.
