I guess I'm not sure what's going on here. You're saying that you're launching a Perl program? Which is somehow triggering an error in an itunes message box? From the sounds of things, I'd guess that you're not really trying to run a Perl program, but are trying to do something else. Specifics would be good:- Who wrote the Perl program you're trying to run?- What Perl interpreter are you using? Active Perl for Windows?- How are you trying to launch the program? From the command line? From the run command? Double clicking?- What is the program *supposed* to do that you're running?- What settings are in your default Perl environment?- What happens when you don't have iTunes running and try the script again? The error you're getting seems fishy to me. It looks like a Windows-style command line bug. So something is attempting to run a program (who knows what) with the incorrect options and is failing, and the output is going to iTunes. To me, it sounds like you've got a virus or problematic error in your iTunes installation-- so you try and perform a normal iTunes action, and it's trying to do something it ought not to be doing.DaveE
