I know it's two different things but couldn't explain to my friend who was claiming it's the same thing. How explain scientifically? The argument started from her statement that there're more Calcium in kiwi fruit than in milk, is it true? As far as I know kiwi rich in vitamin C not Ca and all diary products contain Ca.

For starters Vit c is a vitamin, meaning a carbon containg compound, it's chemical name is R)-3,4-dihydroxy-5-((S)- 1,2-dihydroxyethyl)furan-2(5H)-oneor more simple ascorbic acid. Calcium is an element meaning it's just calcium 20 protons and 20 electrons. It's an alkaline earth metal. so bottom line they are nothing alike other than that "C" in their name. Any fruit or food products has more to do with whats in it. typically citrus fruits, oranges, limes, are high in vit c, veggis usually are higher in calcium, broccoli, spinach. There very well could be a high level of Ca in kiwi, after all Ca is naturally found in the earth and could be absorbed by the plant. I think broccoli is higher in Ca than milk, not sure on that one...
