How do I install stuff on Linux so that I can compile c++ programs?
I'm running slackware. It's a really weird distro because our former sysadmin decided that the best way to secure the server would be to delete EVERYTHING, every single app, file, and library, and then only install the things that he thought we would need. Great for him, crappy for me. Now he's gone, and I need to install a few apps. Trouble is, there isn't anything loaded on here to compile C++. Halp.I need to be able to compile c++ on the server, not my machine.
