Question Details: Currently, the BBC is running a 'closed trial' of programmes from right across it's archives - Comedy, Drama, News, Sport etc. The archives consists of Radio programmes from the 1930's through to 2007 and Television programmes - from the 1950's to date. It's easy to watch or listen to all of the above programmes on my PC, but how do I record these sound and vision programmes, for future watching and possible copying to CD's or DVD's?If you know of any free software programmes that will 'do the trick', please let me have details.Your help will be much appreciated.

Radio programs can be recorded quite easily. I Use "Audacity" from http:\\audaciry.sourceforge.net. There are other recorders available. I am evaluating Hi-Q Recorder from www.roemersoftware.com. Video recording in theory should be as easy but the processing speed of the PC may be an issue. A couple of possible links below
