I'm not certain what it would be. This sounds like a variation of the trail song "Goodbye, Old Paint". Gene Autry sang that song quite often.Tex Ritter sang "Goodbye, Old Paint" in "Sing, Cowboy, Sing" (1937).But, I haven't found "C'mon, ol' Paint" (or "ole"). On "Bonanza", the horse ridden by Michael Landon as Little Joe Cartwright was named Paint. I don't know for certain whether that is the horse's actual name and/or if that was its name on the show. I'm not sure they would have had different names; can you imagine the animal's confusion? *giggle*
