of the way I sleep. I sleep on my stomach so my face is turned to one side or another, my cheek the smushed up toward my nose which is creating this cracking wrinkle. I'm only 27 years old & I use Ponds nightly (lightly b/c I also have acne prone skin). Any receommendations on what I can do to prevent these wrinkles? I try sleeping on my back, but I keep waking up on my stomach. Please help!?!?!?

Continue to sleep as you want. Getting you beauty rest, no matter how you sleep is the most important thing of all. I don't care what kind of cream you use to lock out aging, when father time shows up at your door he can still get in through the window. Facial exercises are your best solution. Take a look at the following website:http://www.carolynsfacialfitness.com...FR9paAodKidKMg

The first sign of skin losing its elasticity is it takes longer for wrinkles caused by position or compression (sleep wrinkles for example) to recover. The position is not causing the permanent wrinkles, the wrinkles are there because of skin aging. Most premature skin damage is due to sunlight, cigarettes and general bad health habits. There are no creams, oils or soaps or massages or any thing that you put on your skin that actually does you skin any good but they can help cosmetically. And relieve dryness.Keep yourself out of sunlight, keep yourself well hydrated and avoid goofy diets. Bath with water a bit cooler then usual. Rinse with cool water more frequently. If your skin has lost some elasticity avoid sleeping in such a way that wrinkles your face. These temporary morning wrinkles will take longer and longer to unfold and will become permanent as your skin ages. Changing your sleeping habits is hard but not impossible.

What "dougger" said is pretty much right on. Also, if you are using acne treatments on your face, it can cause drying of the skin and make you more prone to "wrinkling". Proactive is a good product, and the line has a safe moisturizer. I suffer from chronic pain, and will sometimes wake up with a deep frown line between my brows. It gradually goes away as the day wears on, but the more pain I'm in the longer it stays. I know a little botox would help for this particular wrinkle. But the kind you are suffering from aren't.Among the many "beauty secrets" my grandmother always told me, "Never sleep on your face, or you'll get premature wrinkles!" Ha! I was a stomach sleeper when I was your age too, but as I got older I just switched naturally. Get the proper type of pillow if you are a stomach sleeper. Most linen stores have the pillows categorized so you can find the right kind for your preferred sleeping position. Most skincare comes from within, internally not externally. You are still very young, and if you start really taking care of yourself by eating healthy, drinking plenty of water, no smoking and not too much alcohol, and wearing sunscreen you'll have a good leg up on it. Never tan your face, trust me on this girl! Use self-tanner and bronzers! Its just not worth it! And genes have a lot to do with it too!

You will find it difficult to change your sleeping habit so be gentle with your skin and it will go a long way in keeping it smooth and supple. Gently massage the face with glycerin-honey mixture. Dip a cotton pad in unbeaten egg white, and smooth it across wrinkles. Leave it on for an hour and remove it with a cotton dipped in ice-cold water. Check out http://useinfo-wrinkles.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.
