Default Please recommend on Anti-Virus Programs

Hi,

Please can anyone recommend me which Anti-Virus Program is the best and the most powerful to use? For protection against virus, spyware, worms, trojans, ,malware, etc............................................... .......everything ..

I am using Windows XP.

Am I better to use an All in One Security Program? Or install and use two or more programs together at the same time?

I know few programs below but not sure which one offers more protection. Or which programs to mix with to get the max protection. Some programs have more virus and spyware definitions than others.

I tried to install Norton AntiVirus and NOD32 together before, but my PC crashed afterward , and needed to remove them within the Safe Mode.

The Shield Deluxe
BitDefender
Panda
Norton
McAfee
Kaspersky
Avast
NOD32
PC Tools Spyware Doctor
or.........................

Thanks very much for your help.
Have a nice day.

Use AVG http://free.grisoft.com/filedir/inst...e_519a1276.exe for Antivirus and Spybot Search & Destroy and Lavasoft’s Ad-Aware SE, Personal Edition.

Regards

I would personally recommend Kapersky, Norton itself is a bigger virus as far as im concern virus then all teh others can throw at you , its just total junk, even if it works will slow you down like nothing else, AVG used to be great with a small footprint but lately seems to have gone lazy and not detecting much.

I was using AVG 7 and it literally forced me to download AVG 8.0 because they will stop updating it automatically on 31st of May. While version 7 was great, 8.0 isn't. Slows my pc down n does automatic scan of the weblinks on google (we dont always need that and it takes a lot of pc resources).

Any anti-virus suggestions? Using Zone Alarm firewall as well.

Thanks
