Why must I login twice to a protected directory in my yahoo web hosting page?

If you're accessing a directory, such as:www.mydomain.com/mystuff/remember to put a slash at the end of the URL. If you try an address such as:www.mydomain.com/mystuffyou may be challenged twice for the password.
