...site to all the web directories? I heard there's companies based out of India that just specialize is submitting your sites to hundreds/thousands of web directories for a small fee. I would prefer reputable companies that people have actually hired for these purposes.

Do it for free at http://www.submitexpress.com No one can guarantee that they can get you to the top of a search engine. Don't pay for that. Put good content on your pages that people want and the search engines will index you.
